New Year and new challenges

Happy New Year to any one visiting. I met up with a new friend over the holidays and we had a really good chin wag about all sorts of things. I've been having a sort out of my craftroom which was well over due and through out lots of old bits and pieces that I'll never use again. I had found a canvas that I started a long time ago and decided to resurrect it. The colours were so strong so I lightly covered it with Picket Fence. I wanted to keep it colourful as I'm going to hang it in my room to look at often.
I chose the sentiment in the centre as I think my mojo often disappears because of lack of courage. I love colour and want to play more this year with confidence. I have also signed up to a swap group this year, making two pieces a month that is themed and I'm going to play / experiment on these pieces. I hope the recipients will be happy with them. Wishing health, wealth and happiness to all. Debbie

Lovely canvas Debbie. I have a canvas still in its packaging. Don't have the courage to open it yet-I must be brave!

Superbly apt - I'm definitely with you all the way - I'm very diffident but I can feel that changing - greatly through the swap group last year though I found it tough to keep up. I'm rehoming many of my supplies too & making an effort to use things that I'd not normally reach for. This swap will be easier & I'm certain the recipeients won't 'mind' you experimenting - as a prospective reipient I certainly won't mind.
You encourage me no end too.........
