For a good book

Like lots of crafters I always have lots in my bits box. I made these bookmarks from strips of card that were left overs from making 5x5 cards. I have used the beautiful Landscape Scenes stamps and they were so quick the make. I have put an acetate over lay on them, I have stamped on the acetate and on the card. For this I swept Pan Pastels across the card then stamped with stazon on the acetate. Here are the bookmarks together. The book in the background is a hard back book I bought from our local charity shop. It's Shakespears 37 plays and 160 Sonnets and Poems. I had intended using the pages for crafting but my DD was disgusted when I told her so for now it's still complete. It's beautifully sunny here and the sun feels warm. Thanks for visiting Debbie

Wildflower Wedding Card

I was delighted when Glenda announced to the Design Team that there were large stamps being produced. There are six to choose from unless like me and you love all of them and need them all. For this card I used the Wildflower Big Bold Background and Memento Teal Zeal ink. The card is an A5 size and I added the ribbon to cover where the stamp joined. I'm so impressed how crisp the image came out. I used the flower glass from Floral Bouquet with versamark ink and silver embossing powder then added hint of colour with pens to the flowers. I added a sentiment making it into a wedding or anniversary card. These Big and Bold stamps are so versatile. Thanks for visiting Debbie

Easter Cards

Easter is galloping towards us and hopefully will bring some warmer brighter weather with it we have snow at the moment. I noticed a few clusters of small daffodils in my neighbours garden yesterday and they made me smile. I made a couple of Easter cards from the Baroque Eggs and Easter Traditions stamps from Chocolate Baroque. I'd like to think I'm being very organised this year but have quite a few cards to make so must not be distracted by my other hobbies. I love the large cross from the Easter Traditions and have used it for many occasions. This card uses the eggs from Baroque Eggs. I made a couple of masks and used various pastel colour inks to stamp the eggs at the bottom. For the large egg I used white card and stamped with versamark and white embossing powder. Next, I coloured the egg with the pastel inks to tie it in with the smaller ones. Ribbon and pearls were added. Hope you are staying warm. Debbie
