Like xmas for Archie

The funniest thing happened last night. I was so pleased our daughter was home to see what un folded.
Now this is how it goes.
Darling hubby goes into the hall with a tub of doggy treats.
He started to fill the wall hanging advent calender.
It wasn't long before super dog got a whiff of what was going on.

Then it was up onto the radiator and help myself to a few treats.

Needless to say Hubby had to take them all out, Archie's a tall dog
We laughed for ages after.

Playing with new xmas stamp

I was lucky enough to go over to Barnard Castle on Wed evening and pop into Graphicus. My hubby, the kids and archie went for a walk while I watched Glenda and Lynn make some beautiful cards. I need to take a few photos.
Here are a few congratulations cards I made for Amy's friends for their A level results.

I've fallen in love with the art work of Mo Manning. It feels a little like cheating but the images are gorgeous. I used my copics to colour them, ideal when sitting with leg up.

Clarity shoe stamped onto patterned paper and then cut out.

Polka doodles cd ideal for the little girl next doors birthday, lovely cd to play with.

A rare photo of me, usually hate them. Hubby and I went off to York for 2 days and stayed in a lovely hotel, very relaxing.

A friend from work wanted a card for her brother in law who's into tattoos. Was pleased with the finished card.

I bought this stamp at the Harrogate show and love the image.

Fed up

Two weeks ago I woke up with a swollen knee. I thought 'oh no' not again. Two years ago I my right knee locked and when it released there was a sickening pop. Should have gone to the docs straight away but thought (like we all do) it'll be alright. After a scan on my leg I found out that I'd had a Bakers Cyst that had ruptured. It took weeks for the fluid to clear from my knee and ankle. Very sore.
So two weeks ago we took the dog out for a good walk on the Saturday everything was fine, then Sunday my knee swelled up. Off I went to the Docs when my ankle was filling. It's a pain because I get up on a morning and I can feel my ankle bone but by lunch time it's sore and swollen. Fortunately I'm off work at the moment. So I've been making a few cards. Here are a few.
I'm also biting my nails as Amy recieves her A level results tomorrow with her boyfriend(everything crossed) and Jack his GCSEs next week.
Inspired by the team at Graphicus

A good friend was retiring from work, I didn't want to make a big card so I made 40 small ones so everybody could write a message.

Oh how Archie has grown

He seems to be still growing week by week. Just love him to bits.

A few cards and catching up

Lost my camera so I've been taking pics on my mobile. The software is a nuisance so I couldn't believe how many were on there. Here are a few.

Archie is growing so quickly

This week Archie recieved hia first certificate from puppy trainning. He's now socialized? He's getting better at walking out of the front gate. We've taken him out and had him off his lead. He's staying close to us and comes to us when he's called. Things are looking good. Here are a few more recent pics.

90 days and counting

Well we've just found out today that DH will be out of a job. We've worried about this for the last 8 years. things have been gloomy before nad just when we're exhausted of worrying it's here. My Mum lived with the saying K-sera K-sera what will be will be. That's become a often used saying. So here we go on an another rolloer coaster section of our lives. Card making hopefully will keep my sanity in tact.
Pic of Amy a few years ago a shopping spree at the Metro Centre.
Jack 10yrs in Jack and the Beanstalk school play. (He's the chicken ) I made the costume.

Early mornings

Our new addition is waking early in the morning (5.30). It's fine when your not at work but draining when your working and the school behind you is being rebuilt. The builders were working till 11.30 last night and then started again at 5.30 this morning. I'll describe the noise as someone mowing the lawn in your front garden and the window is cracked open. Lovely huh. I'm not the best of sleepers and my sons in the back bedroom which is nearer to them. He's got GCSEs starting today. Not good. I'll be speaking to someone today to try and find out if this is legal as I think this is going to be wearing if it's long term. Well a lighter note, we took Archie out for his first proper walk on Sunday and he was well behaved. Work has been busy and a friend asked me to make a couple of cards that she needed within days. I've felt pressured to get them done. Don't mind a little pressure but not when tired.
