Finishing off things

Last year when we went to Darlington for the Graphicus retreat, we started a canvas. I started mine and haven't finished it. Kay who I went with gave me hers and told me she wasn't happy with it so couldn't finish it. I was shopping on Saturday and saw a lovely wall hanging so this is my first attempt. I'm going to give it back and finish my own. I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and stamped one of the scripts from Chocolate Baroque Mini Scripts. Larger scripts were to big.The flowers around the edge are a freebie stencil I got with a magazine. I used Victorian Velvet to colour.

Last year I made my friends birthday card using the Macintosh style stitched card. Her fave colour is lilac and she loved it. I managed to get another three of the patterns so this year for her birthday I stitched four of them and put them into frames from Ikea. I painted them a mocha colour to match her decor. Fingers crossed she'll like them.

Hope it's been a good Bank holiday

Hi Debbie, I love the Macintosh style pictures. I'm a real Rennie Macintosh fan, my OH took me to a renovated house at Northampton a few years ago, and I'd love to go to Scotland some day for a trawl around. I haven't finished my canvas either, but it's on my desk, and I keep doing little bits to it. I'm getting there. Love the butterflies, Judith xx

Those mini scripts are so useful for stamping on smaller items aren't they. I love the Rennie Macintosh rose - one of my favourite styles.
