Yellow Poppies

My card today is another poppy creation from the Chocolate Baroque stamps Pretty Poppies. I decided to colour them yellow as we have yellow ones popping up in the borders of our garden which is lovely to see through all the weeds that are difficult to keep under control.
I wanted to create a textured background but didn't have an embossing folder that was quite right. I cut four of the Memory Box Honeysuckle Vines and attatched them with a quickie glue pen. The poppies have been stamped with Memento black and coloured with various Alcohol Ink pens. I haven't added a sentiment as the card is going into my stash of cards that will be needed at the last moment. Thank you for visiting Debbie

These yellow ones always make me smile & we have them in our garden too - springing up unbidden but tenaciously year after year. Your use of the die-cuts in place of an embossing folder is masterful & very effective indeed - beautiful texture there.

This is really lovely Debbie. I love your use of the yellow for a more unusual poppy. Obviously I know they come in many colours so why do most of us reach for red? This is a very pretty delicate card and as Paula said your use of the die-cuts is fabulous.
