A Spring Box for little treasures

I had a lovely few days playing with my crafty purchases that have been sat in a box waiting for inspiration and time.

I bought this MDF box at Harrogate show with a few other things I needed, well fell into my shopping basket.

I didn't want to paint the box so when I bought a paper pad last week and found a delightful script paper set too to decorate it.
I trimmed the paper to the sizes of the sides and lid then painted the edges with Broken China paint and left to dry. I stamped the border stamp from Elegant Edges and the smaller flowers on the Springtime Edges with Cornflower Blue Archival ink then blended Broken China Distress Ink around the edges.

I glued the paper onto the sides and while that was drying stamped the flowers again in the corners with Potting Soil Archival Ink.

The top paper was glued and I rubbed gold guilding was around the edges.
The hole for the knob was drilled by my hubby and finished.

The knob was another recent purchased from Marks and Spencer, I'm pleased I only needed one as it was £3.50, I kept that quite from hubby.

Thanks for visiting
Debbie

Absolutely delightful - love the knob on the top. The blues & pale beiges look terrific together & I like the detail of those Potting Soil corners on the top.

What a beautiful project Debbie, I love it, I've never tryed it myself , stamping directly on wood, perhaps I have to do it once, but you can be proud of your creation, beautiful delicate colours and great stampingwork!!!

Greetings
