Fun, fun, fun

There was alot of fun making this project. I was very lucky to be in the company of a group of talented Ladies a few weeks ago and we worked on a project using many different techniques. From getting in the car and the Sat Nav refusing to work to returning home on the Sunday tea time, I had a totally relaxing time enjoying the company of like minded crafters. (and we had delicious chocolate cake)

I'm not an expert at crafting retreats but the three I've been lucky to attend have been such a pleasure. I love the pace and there's no pressure to complete, ideas, tips and techniques to take away.
My tray was a pleasure to put together and I finally finished it this week. I did have a little boo boo moment when I made the heart. I used a cookie cutter to cut the UTEE and paper butterfly. I wasn't happy with the thickness of the UTEE so decided to re-heat with the cutter on the paper. Oh Oh!!! it welded itself to the cutter. Did I worry, No, I quite like it framed and it will remind me now not to do it again. I enjoyed the freedom of making this project I bought another tray to make.

Thanks for stopping by
Debbie

Sounds like you had a super time indeed. There's so much to occupy the eyes & interest in this & I love your reminder about the cookie cutter! The balance between the branch top left & the branch middle right is gorgeous & I particularly like how one is set into a frame & the other is raised. The clock is delightful.

Gorgeous Debbie, and I love your colour scheme. Your heart frame must have been serendipity - even though you'll now have to buy another biscuit cutter! Amazing how different all our boxes turned out, and what a great weekend we had. Sarah x

PS - I wonder if it would have made a difference if you had smeared glycerine or Versamark on the cutter before heating to help it release?
