A memories book

Recently I was asked to make a large card for the Head Teacher of our school who was retiring. The criteria was that all the children would sign it. Well, my thinking cap went on and I started to make a book. I hadn't realised how many hours it would take to put together and collect all of the contents. So after two full days sitting at the table here is what I came up with.

There are fifteen pages to the book and it's all stitched together. I was shown how to do this a few years ago when on a craft retreat. Unfortunately I can't show the inside as there are a lot of photographs in there.

To accompany the book I made a memory album with photographs of visits and events through the years. The little box houses forty something small square cards I made from each member of staff. I was so pleased with the finished gifts and seeing the Heads face when he received them.

Thanks for stopping by

Debbie
